We pray that this finds you and yours in good health and enjoying the blessings of Jesus. Thanks for your interest in our bus situation.

Chances are, you know The Imperials and have shared our music as we have worshipped together with you over the years whether in person at a concert or through our recordings. We are so grateful to God for all of the friends and fans that He has given us over the years! We want to let you know of an immediate need and a wonderful opportunity .

As a traveling ministry, we cannot fulfill our calling to take the message of the Gospel to the hometowns and doorsteps of people throughout America without safe and reliable transportation. Everyone who has seen us in the last several years knows about our bus, "Big Red". She has been a faithful companion for the last 25 years and almost 4 million miles. She has served us well; however, on a ministry trip last November "Big Red" developed some major engine problems. Those problems led to complete engine failure. Upon examination by skilled mechanics we were advised that the enormous amount of money required to repair the bus for safe operation was neither wise nor justified due to its overall age and condition.

As we prayed and sought God, also seeking the counsel of our Pastors and advisors, it became apparent that it was time for new transportation for The Imperials. This past year has been a year of transition for this ministry. From the beginning God spoke to us powerfully through Matthew 9:16-17 that this would be "a year of new things" and we have watched Him continually breathe newness into every part of The Imperials, from our public ministry to our business structures. More recently (and in direct response to the bus breakdown) we have had three different prayer partners, independently of each other, refer us to Isaiah 43:19 sharing with us that God wants to do "a new thing" in regards to our transportation. We know God is the God of more than enough and we have been believing Him for the right transportation.

After looking at all options and even seeing one bus possibility fall through, God has led us to the right bus for us! This bus is more than we were asking for and we got a wonderful deal on it. (See the picture and details below.)

While we are grateful for the new bus, we don't believe that God wants us to be in debt for it. We are believing God and His people to help us pay off this bus in 2005! We believe that God has given us the following plan. We are asking for 200 partners to each give $1,000 between now and the end of 2005. If you can't commit to that much, ask God what He would have you give - any gift is greatly needed and appreciated! (Imperials Ministries is a 501(c)3 non profit organization and all gifts are tax-deductible. You will receive a receipt for your records.) Already approximately 50 people have partnered with us in one way or another! Thank you for your help!
